Aimhigher Greater Merseyside are pleased to offer a brand new qualification for Widening Participation practitioners - the BTEC Level 4 in Widening Participation for Young People in Education and Training.
This is a work-based qualification that assesses the skills and knowledge people need to perform their job role effectively.
Candidates must show their competence through complex work activities which require technical knowledge. Their job role requires substantial personal autonomy and often requires them to take responsibility for the work of others and for allocating resources.
The qualification is open to all practitioners working with the widening participation agenda within; Universities, colleges, schools, community groups, careers education, Connexions and the voluntary sector.
There are no entry level requirements except a good level of education that will enable the person to understand the criteria and requirements and to produce the completed portfolio.
There are no time constraints on completion of the qualification, no age limits and the delivery of units and elements are described in the Unit plans. Click on the links below to find out more about the qualification:
