French Masterclass
Year 13 students from Liverpool will be taking part in a French
Masterclass with lecturers from the University of Liverpool at
Saint Francis Xavier College on 23rd January 2006.
The day aims to:
The day is divided into two sessions with students taking part in complex role play situations during the morning workshop. Students also engage in group discussions before acting out the role play in an extensive plenary session.
During the afternoon students take part in a session that will develop their proficiency in comprehension and analysis. All materials are provided as part of the Masterclass and there will be ample time for group discussion at the end of the day.
The day aims to:
- Enable good students to stretch themselves in activities which they may not have the opportunity to practice in class
- Give students a taste of the the types of teaching and learning which they might encounter at university
