Your Questions Answered at Southport College

Students who are deciding their next step after Further Education are invited to Southport College's annual Higher Education Convention, taking place on 30 March 2006.

The event, which will run from 11am-4pm at the College's Mornington Road campus, is aimed at those who are thinking about going onto Higher Education. As well as current students at Southport College, the event is also open to the general public.

Over 35 HE institutions will be attending the event including the University of Liverpool, UCLan and the University of Leeds, as well as members of the Armed Forces such as the RAF and the Royal Navy.

Staff from the various universities and colleges will be on hand to answer questions about going to university and as well as the exhibition stands, there is a rolling programme of presentations covering issues such as finance, student life and the UCAS application process.

Dawn McKenzie, Aimhigher Co-ordinator said: "Students can use this event to speak to a variety of universities, the armed forces, guidance agencies, such as Aimhigher and Connexions, and Southport College staff to find out about the options available to them when they move onto Higher Education."
