Vocational Progression

The Vocational Progression Routes programme is now in its fourth year. Since 2005 we have worked with over 1,000 young people from across Greater Merseyside and hope to work with many more!

What do we do?

The team provide a range of aspiration raising, inspirational and motivational activities for young people who have chosen or are considering the vocational route to higher education.

Activities can include sessions in schools, colleges and work based learning providers or visits to universities and employers.

Work with the four local HEIs to identify programmes which will benefit employers and potential learners and will be accessible for those based in the workplace.

The need for admissions policies and processes which do not disadvantage those pursuing vocational routes.

The need for appropriate new curriculum development to assist progression.

The need for appropriate guidance and support arrangements for vocational learners accessing higher education.
