Safeguarding
Aimhigher Greater Merseyside is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, working together to support young people and their families.
The Aimhigher Greater Merseyside partnership believes that all young people deserve the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Aimhigher Greater Merseyside is also committed to safe recruitment, selection training and development of its staff. All those who work with young people can contribute to the safeguarding of young people by their day to day contact and direct work with families.
All Aimhigher staff have a crucial role to play in their pastoral responsibilities to the young people by noticing indicators of possible abuse or neglect and in referring concerns to the appropriate agency.
All Aimhigher staff should create and maintain a safe environment for young people and should be able to manage situations where there are child welfare concerns.
Aimhigher Greater Merseyside believes that children and young people have a right to be safe and happy in the activities they or their parents/families and carers chose. They have a right to believe that Aimhigher Greater Merseyside is an organisation which can be trusted and is safe for their children and young people.
Aimhigher Greater Merseyside has a duty of care for the children and young people for whom they provide activities.
